At Dental Solutions of Encinitas our number one priority has always been the health and safety of our patients. As a leading healthcare provider in our community, we wanted to reach out to all of our patients regarding the COVID-19 virus, and to let you know the steps we are taking to alleviate any potential concerns.
During COVID-19, we are open for emergency dental services by appointment only.
Healthcare facilities that do not treat sick patient, like dental offices, are going to be one of the safer public places to be. Here at Dental Solutions of Encinitas, following all CDC and OSHA standards of infection control has always been a daily routine for us, even prior to this virus. We sterilize every instrument used in your mouth. Items that cannot be sterilized are disposable. We use hospital level disinfection in all areas in our office to destroy pathogens and our team is highly trained in these protocols. We treat everything to the highest standards for our patient’s and employee’s safety. We have also implemented some new measures to ensure everyone’s safety. These measures include limiting the number of staff in the office, exclusively scheduling one patient at a time, screening all patients that come in for symptoms, taking all patients and staff’s temperature as they come in and removing all hard to disinfect objects such as magazines, toys, etc from the office.
We echo and encourage the CDC’s smart hygiene habits which help minimize the spread of any respiratory diseases including:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, or alcohol based hand sanitizer for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with tissue, throw the tissue in the trash, and then wash your hands.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Please rest assured that we are following local and national updates daily, and will continue to maintain the highest level of safety and patient care that you have come to expect. If you have any questions regarding your future appointments, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Again, thank you for being a valued patient. We appreciate your continued trust and confidence. Together we can overcome these challenging circumstances and continue your path to greater health! We look forward to taking care of you at your next scheduled appointment.
Sincerely,
Dr Sherry Vakilian, DDS
